Reordering the evidence-layer roadmap
Changed the order five major site sections were built in. No external claim was affected; this governed internal build sequencing only.
This entry predates the clarification that OSG and CapitalOS are separate companies under a commercial engagement — see Entry 06. Where this entry describes CapitalOS in terms that could read as an internal OSG product, treat Entry 06 as the current, governing description of the relationship.
What changed
An institutional audit identified four evidence gaps — Founder, Documentation, Journal, Proof — and an initial roadmap sequenced Founder first, as the highest-leverage single gap.
Alternatives considered
- Keep Founder first, as the highest-leverage individual item.
- Build all four layers in parallel to move faster overall.
- Resequence so Founder comes last, built from the other three layers rather than introducing them.
What was decided
Resequence to Institutional Philosophy → Operating Principles → Documentation → Journal → Founder Narrative, so the Founder page synthesizes what's already established rather than introducing it standalone.
Why
A Founder page in isolation reads as biography. Built after the other four layers exist, it can connect dots a reader has already encountered — the explicitly stated target experience.
What evidence informed it
A direct strategic instruction: the desired reader experience was stated explicitly, and the resequencing follows from taking that requirement literally.
What happens next
Reviewed once the Founder Narrative is published — if it still reads as introducing the founder rather than synthesizing prior pages, the sequencing achieved a process goal without its actual purpose.
Impact
Changed the order five major site sections were built in. No external claim was affected; this governed internal build sequencing only.
Institutional Learning
What every entry is ultimately for — not just recording that something happened, but what changed because it did.
A stated requirement that the Founder page should feel discovered, not introduced.
The build order of five major site sections was reversed relative to the original roadmap.
The Founder page could be written as a synthesis of existing, already-published material rather than as a standalone claim.
